Kleinevalleij was the prefect setting for Graeme and Channel’s simple, sophisticated and elegant Wedding. Knowing Chanel I asked her to write something for her wedding feature.
“My mother has been in the wedding magazine industry for 17+ years, some of those years were spent being the editor on a gorgeous bridal magazine….so you can only imagine what happened when her only daughter AKA me got engaged. Weddings can be stiff occasions which ours was not going to be. From our marriage officer that cracked a few jokes to Graeme chipping in, while I was delivering my vows. The relaxed, light hearted manner carried through to our photographs where I’m sure Andre said “look serious at some stage”, but we couldn’t contain our laughter or was it excitement. The relaxed theme flowed through to our speeches which where delivered outside in an informal setting while the sun set over the mountains.
Graeme is the calmer, more reserved one and tries to keep me in check but we all know that never happens. Summing Graeme up in a few words would be, the best friend you could ever have, the giver and the guy with a sharp sense of funny, dry humour. We just wanted all our guests to eat loads and have fun and dance the night away.
PS: We are big fans of sweet things…and well I suppose, food in general. This can be seen in the sweety buffet. We had 109 people at our wedding but the sweets table catered for 200.”
